I thought I'd change, so to speak, My post. I have written a few words that seems to go with the background.
Have you ever wished that you could hop on the back of a dragonfly, and have it take you far away from the everyday mundane, or worrisome troubles?
Just to be able to escape you problems, or stress that a day can throw your way. I have found that
meditation is one of the doors to open. It's very natural, as well as a spiritual journey that could bring you solitude in your life

You just need a very quite place, inside or outside of your domain.

Also candles would be very much a profound tool, as they would set the mood

The candles set the mood, because when you meditate you need solace, as well as seek for the same.

Get away, if only for a few minutes. I guarantee that you mind, as well as your soul will be so very rejuvenated, and that is what sets your soul and spirit free, if only for a short time. Give it a try, it's excillerating.

Good old Victor , long before he closed up shop and I must say how I miss him dearly. I will let you know when I am back , but it will be tonight.
Meditation is a wonderful tool to use to calm the soul and the spirit. I use meditation quite a bit and also try to work on slowing my breathing down, so I can be very still and quiet. Even if it's only done for 5 minutes in your day, it definitely makes a huge difference! Great post!
I miss that bookstore and him. There was many a time I'd go to Victory Books to just talk to him. I think he went out of business from people stealing from him. But I hear that he does a talk show on some radio station. All they have on that block is bars and more bars. What a shame, but who would want to visit that area anyway.
It sure does help the mind and soul. At these times in my life, I find it necessary to meditate as often as possible, which I hate to mention is few and far between. Have a good day
That's SO true ,about a babbling brook. It brings you to nature, not vise versa, and allows you to let the stress of the day to wash down stream, so to speak. Have a great day
